On Tuesday, November 10, 2009 the Republican executive committee from the 2nd Congressional District met in Troy, AL. Over 70 individuals, who included members and guests, braved the wind and rain from Tropical Depression Ida to attend.

On the agenda was an election of a new chairman and vice-chair. Mrs. Sue Neuwien from Coffee County was elected chair. Mr. Cleve Poole from Butler County was elected as vice-chair.

The Troy University College Republicans will hold their November meeting on Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at 5:30 p.m., in the Math/Science Complex, Room 114 on the campus of Troy University.

Our special guests for the evening will be several candidates for local offices. Details will be released as soon as they become available.

We had a great turnout for our last meeting, and hope to have an even bigger turnout this time. Bring a friend and enjoy being a Republican!

Featured guest speaker will be Judge Kelli Wise, candidate for Supreme Court Judge.

The Pike County Republican Women will meet on October 28th at noon with Martha Roby as guest speaker. Meet and Greet is 11:30 and lunch will be served promptly at 12 noon.

It's time again for the Pike County Fair! The Fair will be open from Tuesday, October 6th through Saturday, October 10th. Please come by the Pike County Republican Party booth and visit with us every evening from 6 PM to 9 PM.
